Carnival 2017 was happening in Lapaz the evening when we arrived.  The idea did not sound fun to us but we went to town anyway. Downtown on the waterfront turned out to be very fun.  They had 5 major entertainment stages set up and countless street venders.  The parade started soon after we arrived the first night and it was like nothing we have ever seen before.  The costumes were very elaborate.  The music and dancing was energetic. It was a true celebration.

The second night was super busy and not as much fun.  To get out of the crowds we found a little coffee shop to sit for 2 hours and wait for our taxi that we scheduled to come at 9:30. Two beers, homemade carrot cake, coffee and Kailua, and Baileysover ice was 200 pesos; which is $10.

Baja Expeditions presents Swimming with the Whale Sharks.
The above video needs to be up loaded in the future. Below I am waiting to drop backwards into the water...not my favorite thing to do. The sharks were extremely docile and let you swim right next to them.  They eat plankton not people! Yea!  Another amazing experience.

    About  Us

After my husbands widow maker heart attack in 2004, the doctor said just relax and enjoy life for a while. So it happened: the 43' NewMar Mountain Aire coach was purchased and the house sold....eventually. Relaxing? Not always! We are truly blessed to spend this time together... and with friends.

    Up Date:
