Fort Clark was established on the banks of Las Moras Creek by the U.S. Army in 1852. The Fort played a major role in protecting a segment of the "lower road" from San Antonio to El Paso, and frontier settlers, from Indians and bandits. Visually all Cavalry units and many Infantry lived, trained, or visited at the Fort Clark while patrolling West Texas and the U.S. border. World War II Generals George Patton and General Johnathan Wainwright were among the notables who served at Fort Clark. The Fort was closed in 1946, and has since become a haven for those who seek peaceful recreation, resort, and residential surroundings. Fort Clark has 1600 acres of wilderness and is a natural bird sanctuary. The large 100' X 300' pool is maintained by nature all year long and stays at a consistent temperature of 68 degrees. We arrived at our first destination December 31at Camping World, in Fort Clark Springs. We will be here until January 31. We love the fort because of it's history and the simple life here. Our trailer we are pulling this year holds our golf cart, bikes and extra supplies that we need for being gone a longer period of time this season. Well we did and enjoyed our day to the fullest. What a wonderful ministry they have there. We do get to busy occasionally ... this is Dallas maybe? Many interesting food wagons are seen too.

About Us
After my husbands widow maker heart attack in 2004, the doctor said just relax and enjoy life for a while. So it happened: the 43' NewMar Mountain Aire coach was purchased and the house sold....eventually. Relaxing? Not always! We are truly blessed to spend this time together... and with friends.
Up Date:September 2015 now traveling with Ford F350diesel dually and Host Mammoth Truck Camper.
