Holland Michigan to Bonnita Springs Florida December 26, 2015
Picture
Left the day after Christmas, December 26 with brother Jack and Glenny.  Took 3 days and two nights  to travel the distance to Florida. NOTE TO SELF: Never travel to Florida again the day after Christmas because traffic is out of control. Took 15 hours to travel 550miles that day.
Stopping at Riverbend for the first night.  Jack and Glenny took our lot for the night and we were cast out of the park and slept in our rig by the flag pole outside of the gate...we are no longer a class A motor coach so we were not allowed to stay even in the parking lot overnight....fine with us but there were some petty people in the park that complained about it...Beautiful 2016 Ford 350 King Ranch Truck and a 2016 Luxury Host Truck Camper, nice looking Rig but still not good enough for the nit pickers of this mostly wonderful resort....we welcome our wonderful change in travel and say good bye to the beautiful resort with the handful of busy bodies that love to complain...

Meet Joe....he travels around Florida distributing Bibles to individuals who do not have one.  His ways are eccentric but to talk with him you know he is genuine.  God Bless You Joe it was nice to meet you.

The sun set in RiverBend quite often reflects in the East as well as the West...as seen in my drive by shots here...

Santuary Park in Bonita Springs

Trish, Lee, Bob, Jack, Glenny, Vonnie...The gang is all here.  Wonderful Pontoon boats from FishTale Marina in Fort Myer Beach.  Far enough south to avoid traffic.  Cruised the intercostal and to Lover's Key and the Dog Park Beach.

New Years day 2016, 8AM fog just breaking up and beautiful sun shine.

...this video on the right is of a school of fish and dolphins swiming at Lovers Key, Florida.  We watched them for a half hour for sure and they were still there when we left.

Back to the Riverbed for two weeks staying in the LaBelle area at Whisper Creek.  Saw many friends and were given the royal treatment by some....dominos too of coarse with Bruce, Cammie and Chase. On Saturdays special men of the resort wake up very early and prepare breakfast for anyone who comes down to the river club house.  $6.00 buys anything you want to eat and have them make special.  Truly a huge blessing for the resort, good times and good food.  The money collected buys extra fun things for the resort and donations to the local charities.  The following is a video of the Breakfast boys music break in-between making omelets and waffles. Too funny, they work hard and play hard. Thank you men.

Our RiverBend lot getting cleaned up for renters...wish I would have taken a picture of the whole thing done...Our camp site at Whisper Creek in LaBelle...a very clean friendly place...

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, MORE RAIN....as seen, kinda in Bruce and Cammie's pool...pretty anyway...

Pastor Bob and Lois join us for...Cracker Barrel Sunday's buttermilk chicken of coarse!  Enjoyed the first two gospel concerts, of the Fort Myers Assembly of God Church Winter Concert Series; which is always excellent.  Gordon Mote on the piano and Ernie Haase and Signature sound.

    About  Us

After my husbands widow maker heart attack in 2004, the doctor said just relax and enjoy life for a while. So it happened: the 43' NewMar Mountain Aire coach was purchased and the house sold....eventually. Relaxing? Not always! We are truly blessed to spend this time together... and with friends.

    Up Date:

September 2015 now traveling with Ford F350diesel dually and Host Mammoth Truck Camper.
