Linda and Hal, Wayne and Leslie...and the dog kids!
10:30 am we left our campsites and did a 40 mile (one way) run down the beach. What a beautiful day with very sweet people. The tide was a bit high ( about 10 minutes too late on our parts) so we sat on the beach for a couple hours and waited until we could get around the point. So warm and pretty. What a sight.
Wayne thought it would be nice if I could take home a big pile of fresh sea salt... didn't know he was packing a hatchet...hmmmm...salt we gathered is drying in the camper. It dried nicely and we will try it. They use it all the time. Also pictures the pink shells we find on the beach. I haven't been able to find them in a book, not sure what kind they are.
Sun is starting to set. Time to head back and watch the sun set.
Linda said to Hal, "I do not think this is the beach. I think it is a sandbar." Yep it was, just that quick.
After a snapped winch and a few different types of pulling events we were free again. And yes, that is the moon coming up over the dune.
A dirty side by side has taken on new meaning...washing it down with salt water gives it an interesting effect!

Back to the states for a few weeks. The new wall next to the old wall. Nicer, better, stronger and less junky.

Trying to keep the utility trailer nice just isn't easy. These two scratches go the entire length of the trailer. While driving through customs our choice was line #5 or #7. If you have a trailer do not use line # 7, that was our choice. The customs officer would not let us get out of our truck to hold the stop sign, out a little...his comment was, we did it to ourselves...what a jerk... the other side of the trailer was so close you would have a difficult time sliding a piece of paper between the pole and the trailer wheel well. When we commented on the fact they need wider lanes he said we do #6...its out of order right now....???? really???? I give up. Bought a sign that says trailer trash. I think it is going on the out side not inside. |
